JOLIE MOREHOUSE OLSON

Hello!

I am a Minneapolis based portrait and live show photographer. 

I always loved looking at photos when I was little because they tell stories. It is such a remarkable thing to capture a moment and keep its memory alive.  My fascination with photos and the stories they tell lead me to my passion for photography.

One of my biggest interests is concert/music photography. It is such an incredible experience to capture the emotion an artist emits through their music and to see the effect it has on the audience.

I also love portraiture. It is so special to connect with people in this way - to be trusted to authentically capture them is not something I take lightly. I truly value the vulnerability and trust that those I shoot with share.

I like to add layers of texture to my images too. I use all kinds of materials - from magazines to thread. I like the visual interest it adds to the work and the feeling it can emit.

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with my B.F.A in Digital Photography. I do not know exactly what the future entails, but I know photography will always be a part of it.
